Harvest Nov. 12 - 15th

                        🍂 HARVEST 🍂

As we are getting closer to Thanksgiving, we are observing weather changes and how our environment has also changed. The days are much colder and the leaves have pretty much all fallen off of the trees. It's been fun collecting leaves for pretend cooking in our toy pots and pans in the outdoor kitchen. Thank you for bringing in warm coats, hats, and gloves. Everyone loves playing outside and it makes it more enjoyable and allows us to stay out longer.

We've been starting to recognize the first letter of our names and some of our friends names. A mat with letters printed on it helped us to recognize letters and match them with a picture of something that starts with the same letter.  This was a teacher directed activity.

What's better than Halloween pumpkins? Decorating pumpkins to look like turkeys! Each child was given a small pumpkin to glue feathers, a beak, eyes, and, of course,  a wobbler on. 🦃 They look great and are lined up on our classroom window sill.

We have a new Thanksgiving bulletin board over the art shelf. Take a look at all the hardwork the kids put into spelling out their names with the turkey feathers.

Miss Lisa is getting us prepared for our Thanksgiving concert. Spoiler alert: The Quarter Notes will be pretty adorable! We reviewed parts of a violin, used shakers to the beat, marched to Mississippi Stop Stop, and sang songs (Six Little Ducks, Over the River and Through the Wood, a Thanksgiving song, and Autumn Leaves Are Falling Down).  🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆

Mrs. Mei reviewed previously learned words along with learning elephant and trunk. We had a special surprise when the elephant trunk sneezed all the leaves fell off of the tree! 🐘

Due to Veteran's Day we missed visiting with Miss Becca, but will see her again Monday, November 18th. 🎻

       😊  Have a wonderful weekend! 😊
