9/02- MEET AND GREET

                🌻  MEET AND GREET 🌻

Welcome, Quarter Notes! It was so nice to put names to faces today. Some friends were a little apprehensive to start, but seemed comfortable by the end of the hour.

When the children arrived they received  name tags, sat down to paper with an animal that started with the first letter of their name, and their own set of crayons.

Most of the children colored, but a couple just observed and asked me questions. "Where's Mommy?" was a popular one. Everyone was reassured that parents would be coming back soon, but toys, trains, and building blocks were a pretty good distraction. 😉

When we were ready to transition to our first circle, they learned a clean up song. We will be singing this every time we are putting toys away.  The repetition and daily schedule will help the children know what they can expect to happen next.

During circle, we talked about things we will be learning at school and read a book about friendship (House Mouse Friends).

The class did a wonderful job lining up to be dismissed.  Today was great practice for our first day of school!

Looking forward to a great year! 😊 🎻 📚
