MOTHER'S DAY 05/03-07

                💜💐🥞 MOTHER'S DAY 🥞💐💜

Poor, Mom! You work so hard and sometimes feel unappreciated, so this week is all about YOU! (Sorry, Dad's, we'll celebrate you in June. 😉)

I asked each child what they loved most about their Mom. Below are their answers. The Quarter Notes are a sweet group and love their mothers a bunch! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ We practiced singing the song, Skidamarink A Dink A Do, all week so your child can serenade you on Sunday. The lyrics are below incase they forget.

Skidamarink a dink, a dink
Skidamarink a do
I love you
Skidamarink a dink, a dink
Skidamarink a do
I love you
I love you in the morning and in the afternoon
I love you in the evening and underneath the moon
Oh!
Skidamarink a dink, a dink
Skidamarink a do
I love you
Skidamarink a dink, a dink
Skidamarink a do
I love you
Skidamarink a dink, a dink
Skidamarink a do
I love you
I love you in the morning and in the afternoon
I love you in the evening and underneath the moon
Oh!
Skidamarink a dink, a dink
Skidamarink a do
I love you

The class made green handprints for stems, drew beautiful flowers on the fingers, and glued flower pots with a Mother's Day poem on top of the handprints. Each child wrote  "Mom" and their name on the flower pot.  We also made a heart card using crayons.

Practiced writing numbers using our number rhymes and Handwriting Without Tears worksheets, and wrote MOM using the blocks.

The weather was absolutely beautiful on Monday.  I asked Ms. Mallari to accompany the Quarter Notes and I on a fun Nature Walk. The kids really enjoyed a change of scenery and picking up "treasures" along the way. We saw a male cardinal, a hawk, landscapers planting red flowers, and had fun playing at the playground down the street. 😊 Everyone was extremely well behaved and walked single file while holding onto the donut rings with our bow hand.

Mandarin: Sang a Springtime song. Learned vocabulary word for ambulance.

Music: Practiced rythms using our rythm sticks (Mississippi Stop Stop, Stop Pony Stop Pony, Pineapple Pineapple, and Huckleberry Huckleberry). Then with our sticks and jingle bells for the Ti-De-O song.

Sports: Yoga and threw a football.

It was wonderful to see everyone at the Art Show! Thank you for stopping by. Pictures of the Art Show are below.

* I have been handing out larger boxes from the silent auction at drop off. Please check your child's backpack for smaller items. Our class had quite a few winning bidders! Thank you! 😊

*Thank you so much for your cards and kind words! I truly appreciate them. They made my day. ❤

*SAVE THE DATE: QN conferences will be on Tuesday, May 18th. I will put a sign up sheet outside the classroom door this Monday so you may plan accordingly for work.

                     😊 Have a great weekend! 😊
