🔴🟢 SUZUKI STOP AND SHOP 🟢🔴
I hope everyone had a fun Memorial Day weekend despite the rainy weather. 😊
Kids love to play cashier and store so I turned the Quarter Notes classroom into a grocery store. The Art table was turned into a conveyor belt with cash registers. The class could collect food in baskets and ring up the groceries at the registers. The class made receipts on Tuesday using long strips of paper and magnetic numbers for reference.
On Wednesday we wrote shopping lists using crayons, paper, and pictures for reference. I'm very impressed with the children's handwriting and letter recognition. 👏 I included pictures of the shopping lists below so you can see how much the Q.N.s have learned!
The class sorted food items and matched the food colors to different colored construction paper (Broccoli on green paper, red apple on red paper etc.).
A rabbit had bunnies recently in the Suzuki playground. It must be a safe place to live.. We've spotted a few here and there (or should I say, hare and there? Ok, maybe I shouldn'tsay that. 😂). A picture of a bunny is below.
Mandarin: Using our fingers to make characters, singing songs, and repeating vocabulary we learned throughout the school year.
Music: Carnival of Animals memory game (match images to the music). Bunny bow holds and passing the cup to classmates using bows. Clapping to the beat/rhythms.
Sports: Rainbow strings and bikes.
🍞🧀🍇 Have a great weekend! 🍇🧀🍞
