COLORS 9/20-24

❤🧡💛💚💙💜🤎🖤COLORS🖤🤎💜💙💚💛🧡❤

It's been a lot of fun this week! We started learning colors, celebrated the Autumn Moon Festival with Mrs. Mei, and the first day of Fall on Wednesday.  🌚 🍂🍁

The Quarter Notes have enjoyed mixing colors together and painting.  We decorated lanterns with white "moon" stickers and made pretend moon cakes using air drying playdough. On Wednesday, we decorated fall color paper with glittery leaf stickers. The class is working on recognizing colors and sorting different color objects in matching containers. We practiced our counting skills while sorting.

The class mixed food coloring in clear containers and learned about primary colors. We used primary colors to make secondary colors with paint.

Check out the cute animal scratcher masks below.  We used a stylus to scratch the black paint away and revealed beautiful rainbow colors.

There was a grasshopper on the playground Thursday. Everyone had a chance to observe it. Then it hopped away! 🦗 We hope it brought us good luck!

Mandarin: Read, Tracking the Moon. Story about a family celebrating the Moon Festival.  Vocabulary: Moon, sweet, and Moon cake. 🥮

Music: Walked to the beat of a drum (fast or slow). Practiced turning around. Rolled a ball to music. Learned songs and clapped our hands to the beat. Glockenspiel and Zylophone. Rythym sticks.

Sports: Rainbow Strings. Throwing a football. Freeze dance.

              😊 Have a wonderful weekend! 😊
