😊 First Day of Suzuki 😊
Welcome! We enjoyed meeting you during parent/teacher night and morning drop off. Thank you for bringing in spare clothing, socks, underwear, and shoes. If your child is in Pull Ups, we ask that they have velcro sides (this helps us with changing accidents quickly during our busy day!). All children are toileted several times during the day, but are able to go whenever the need arises. With your help, our goal is to get everyone in underwear successfully.
The Quarter Notes were excited to be in school and transitioned well during the day. The children will be working on recognizing their names/cubby space, and independently hanging their items and removing snack(s), lunchboxes and waterbottles from backpacks. Please remember, we are here to help and no child will be scolded or go without if unable to preform a task. Independence promotes confidence and a sense of pride. When the children are confident and/or willing to help out a classmate, the whole class will flourish. 🌻 Some children attended camp and were pros on their first day. Everyone did a great job!
Different toys were out on the rugs and tables to help encourage meeting new friends and discovering the classroom. The Quarter Notes learned a cleanup song and were great clean-up helpers! The class learned how to sit on the rug during circle. We read the book, Spots First Day of School, while sitting criss cross applesauce.
We're so glad to be back in school! Our own children headed back to Third grade, Sophomore and Senior year last week.

* We try our best, but cannot always see you when we're in the classroom. Please ring the doorbell outside of the Q.N entrance for drop off/ noon time pick up assistance. 😊
*Specials (Mandarin, Music, Sports) will start next week.
* Suzuki will be observing Yom Kippur on Thursday, September 16th. We will return on Friday the 17th.
PIZZA FRIDAY! Who doesn't love pizza? The Q.N.s had their very first pizza Friday. 🍕 We celebrated the special day by decorating paper pizzas with different toppings (stickers). Yum!
