🔵🔺️🟢 🟨🛑 SHAPES 🛑🟨 🟢🔺️🔵
This week we talked about different shapes and how we can make other things out of them (Ex: A cat with a circle and two triangles). Images are below. We also introduced MAT MAN. Mat Man is a tool used in the Handwriting Without Tears program that helps us identify different parts of our bodies and learn how to form letters. The class was able to use the MAN MAN pieces to make their own person using the song for anatomy cues.

The Quarter Notes have been loving the book, Mouse Shapes, by Ellen Stoll Walsh. They've been creating cats and mice like the illustrations in the book.
The class practiced making shapes by connecting the dots using crayons.
Wednesday was a special day! We started off with shape puzzles, then had a visit from magician, Robert Clark (AKA Lucky Bob). Bob has been with us before and the kids always seem to have a fun time. At the end of the show, Lucky Bob helped each child to spin a large yellow ball on their pointer finger. The pictures are below.
*Please let us know if your child is having a birthday! We'd love to help you celebrate with nutfree and school approved snacks or goodies. We will be celebrating a friend's birthday this coming Monday! 🥳
*NO MANDARIN THIS WEEK.
*MUSIC: Played xylophone, Marched in a circle to the drum beat, had a very special violin performance by former Quarter Note, Jacob!
*SPORTS: Rainbow ribbons and obstacle course.
😊 Have a wonderful weekend! 😊
