Valentine's Day

          😍💗❤ Valentine's Day ❤💗😍

Roses are red, Violets are blue, the Quarter  Notes have had a great time creating love notes for you!

We counted out ten conversation hearts, numbered them 1 -10, then glued them in numerical order. The children's hard work is on display on the bulletin board over circle area.

Silly Valentine people were made out of a cut out heart, strips of white paper for arms and legs, and googly eye stickers. We hung them around the room so we could admire them throughout the week!

We celebrated Valentine's Day wearing "love bug" crowns and eating a special snack. Our room and the snack table was decorated with red, pink, and white. Later, we passed out our Valentines to our friends and put them into our "mailboxes" (brown paper bags decorated with heart themed stickers and our names). The kids also enjoyed a heart scavenger hunt in the classroom.

Suzuki had a special visitor on Wednesday! The Mad Scientist came to teach the kids science experiments in Room 112 of the music school.  We made snow out of polyacrlimite, melted styrofoam cups, demonstrated sublimation (turning a gas into a liquid), made a spoon scream (because the spoon was SO cold it vibrated!), made magic rainbow potions (with an alkaline and a base), then popped a cork right off of a beaker (when the dry ice gas took up more room than the liquid).

We hope you enjoy your Valentine's Day cards from the kids! They worked hard creating special cards just for you. ❤ Each child has a special Valentine from the teachers. Please look for them in the cubbies or backpacks at pick up! 😊

Friendly reminder, we will be on February vacation next week. Enjoy! Please empty your child's cubby before vacation starts.
Thank you! 🌴
