π π·πΈHALLOWEEN PARADE/PARTYπΈπ· π
The Quarter Notes had an exciting week! The costumes looked great and Friday's party and parade were a success......thanks for the snow, Elsa! Thank you, parents for the party donations. They are greatly appreciated. The class ate snacks and listened to Halloween music (Hocus Pocus/I Put a Spell on You, Monster Mash, and more!)
The children have been practicing singing the Spooky Suzuki songs for awhile now. We hope you enjoy their virtual performances tonight with Ms. Lisa. π
The class has been talking about their home pumpkins. During circle, we talked about the classroom pumpkin, the pulp and the seeds inside. We dried the seeds and used them as counters for math.
One child started telling knock knock jokes during snack. The kids aren't really old enough to understand a good knock knock joke yet, but we certainly shared a few laughs making them up.
Knock, knock
Who's there?
BOO!
Boo who?
Don't cry, it's only a knock knock joke! π
Mandarin: Learned new words; teeth, hat, pumpkin, bat, ghost, and cat. Mrs. Mei played a virtual memory Halloween game.
Music: Practiced Spooky Suzuki songs with props.
Sports: Practiced throwing balls at a target and kicking a small soccer ball into a goal.
Have a spooktacular weekend, guys and ghouls!
(Sorry, not sorry for the puns.)
