VALENTINE'S DAY 02/14-18

         ❤💖💜 Happy Valentine's Day! 💜💖❤

The Quarter Notes had a wonderful Valentine's Day! They ate yummy treats at morning snack and traded Valentine's Day cards after Mandarin class. As you can imagine, there was a lot of excitement and extra energy on Monday.  Thank you to the families who brought in food for our party. It's appreciated.  😊

The children wore love bug crowns during our Valentine's Day celebration.  Hats make everything more festive.  Warning: Cute pictures below. 😍

We kept the Valentine theme throughout the week and glued hearts onto paper and told each other how much we loved each other. It was very sweet. One of my favorites this week was: "Is you cozy?" at naptime.  You cannot get much cuter than that! 💗

The tables had laminated number and letter sheets to practice number/letter recognition and handwriting skills. Friends are getting really good at early handwriting skills and recognizing numbers and letters. Good job, Quarter Notes.  I'm so proud of everyone! 😊

The Math table had a math game with dice. We practiced rolling the dice, taking turns, and moving game pieces.

The Quarter Notes have loved puzzles and stickers lately.  Both are great for fine motor skills and for problem solving.

Some days were much too cold and slippery to venture outside. We had dance parties and enjoyed Cosmic Yoga on YouTube.  It's a great resource for rainy, cold weather, or while you prepare meals.

We traded the cold weather for Springtime temperatures and mud on Thursday. We had to change some muddy clothing, but it was worth it.  The kids loved being outside again on Friday. It was windy, but warm!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY from Cupid.

❤ Mandarin: Lantern festival, weather, moon, and songs. Colors and outerwear vocabulary words.

💖 Music: Rythym sticks and scarves (beats or flowy music), Blue Jello.

💜 Sports: Rainbow strings and basketball.

Thank you families for being so kind and for your support as I start a new adventure. I loved the emails and well wishes during pick up and drop offs. The cards, flowers, and gifts are truly appreciated! Thank you for your generosity and notes.

All the best to you and your little ones. I have truly enjoyed being with them everyday.  💕 I will miss them so much!

The weather was freezing on Tuesday so we had a Mozart dance party. 🥳

Passing out the Valentines.

A delicious Valentine's Day snack. 😋

Thank you for bringing in special snacks!

❤ Look at all of these lovebugs! ❤

Valentine's Day Math game. 💕

This is how Ms. Dressler spent a perfect Valentine's Day evening.  With all three of her "babies".
Hint: Pickle is the black blob near the fan. (Yes, it's cold, but Ms. Dressler is almost 50.)

Gluing heart cut outs onto construction paper.

Silly, Dalia and Zinnia! 😂😂

Great job practicing! 👏

Asked if people were warm or cold during Mandarin class.

Colors and outerwear vocabulary.

The Quarter Notes each had a turn pulling the book tabs to reveal different outerwear options/say words in Mandarin.

Valentine's Day Baby Shark dance party! 🦈
Yes, there's more than just the original Baby Shark song out there. Sorry, families! 😆

Everyone loves the cookie game, but not all of us like to share it. Haha. We practiced taking one turn each and then passing the cookie jar to the next
 friend. They did great!

Enjoy these precious years. Soon enough these conversation hearts will be your reality too. 😆

Aw. Sweet sisters
 💜💜

Thank you for the beautiful flowers. 💐

Silly, Shawn. 😂

The Quarter Notes were so excited for the warm weather!
